Who runs this site

AdviserDeck runs adviserdeck.com, a free reference site of tools and guides on books-and-records duties for investment adviser firms and small broker-dealers. Questions about this policy go to privacy@adviserdeck.com.

What we collect

  • Aggregate page-view statistics, described under Analytics and cookies.
  • Two Google Analytics cookies that tell one visit from another.
  • Your name, email address and message, only when you write to us.

The site has no accounts, logins, payments or comment boxes. The calculators, planners and checklists work in your browser; what you type into them is not stored on our servers. Please do not enter client names, account numbers or other client personal information into any tool.

Analytics and cookies

Vercel Web Analytics counts page views without third-party cookies. Vercel identifies a visitor by a hash created from the incoming request and discards that visitor session after 24 hours. For each page view it can record the time, the page, the referring site, a country or region, and the browser, operating system and device type. We see these only as totals.

Google Analytics 4 sets two first-party cookies, _ga and _ga_<id>, to tell visitors and sessions apart. By default they expire after two years. Google processes this data under its own privacy terms. We use the reports to see which pages are read and where readers come from; we do not link them to any person.

You can block or delete these cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on. The site works the same without them.

Messages you send us

When you write through the contact form, the form emails your name, email address and message to the site owner's mailbox. Mail sent straight to an AdviserDeck address lands in the same place. We use it to reply and keep it only as long as the conversation needs. We never add you to a mailing list unless you ask.

What we never do

  • Sell, rent or trade personal information.
  • Run advertising networks or advertising trackers on the site.
  • Ask for, or store, your clients' or your firm's records.

Your choices

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to privacy@adviserdeck.com and we will answer from the same address.

The site is meant for professionals and is not directed at children.

Changes to this policy

If what we collect changes, this page changes first and the date at the top moves. The terms of use cover how the site's content may be used.
